These were not difficult to put together. Just the perfect inexpensive yet sturdy outdoor patio chair. Plan on ordering a couple more when the budget allows.According to the package, it is made in Vietnam. Package was a little beat up and the pieces were tied up with grass rope, but all the pieces were in the box. The hardware was nicely packaged and marked. Instructions were easy to follow. Just follow them by order, and pay attention to the drawings. As I was told a long time ago, do not overtight the screws until all the pieces are in place and you should have no problems lining and fitting them all up. I was watching a show, and I was done building the chair before the show was over. The toughest part were the last screws joining the arms with the back of the chair. It took me a while screwing them all the way in because of the size.Pins secure the chair in the open position, but when folded, there is no locking so it tends to slide open if picked up the wrong way.The finish of the wood is not perfectly smooth. But it is not a big deal to me. I will be sanding and staining the chair later.Bottom line: I am very satisfied with the chair I received.Absolutely LOVE, Love, love these chairs. High quality wood and well constructed. I have to say though, I am glad my husband was around here to put them together or they may still be in parts on the floor and I am industrious and usually don't need help for projects like this, but..... after seeing all the parts out of the box, it would have been a bit too much for me by my self, due to the size. He is in construction and to put both chairs together took him about an hour, with minimal frustration. He did strip one screw and we had to get another at the hardware store, as there were no extras included. Totally my He-Man Husbands fault LOL. I am about 5'5' average and my husband is 6'6' and a big guy and we are both comfortable and enjoy sitting in the chairs at our fire pit in the evenings. WE did put in pillows for lumbar support. I also like that I can fold them up to put them away when not in use. Great Buy and very pleased with the price and purchase as a whole.I liked the color of the wood and how light yet sturdy the materials are. What I didn't like was that even after I followed the directions exactly as they were written in the instruction manual, it was still very difficult to assemble the chair. When I assembled one part of it and went to add the arms for example, I had to really pull the chair to adjust it so that the holes would fit where I could put the screws in. Overall the chairs are great but would have preferred for them to be assembled!First chair was hard to assemble because I hadn't read Nanci's suggestion about putting soap on the screws. 2nd chair was a snap, and this is from a 65 yr old woman who learned to assemble furniture when she divorced. Very nice looking.Disappointed that they already started to peel. Will need to reseal.We bought these chairs March 24, 2021 and it's July 20, 2021. The wood is starting to crack in various places and there's a bolt that is starting to fall out. If I'm being completely honest, the wood startes to at least 2 months ago. Not worth the moneyThis was exactly what my younger brother was looking for and made the perfect Christmas present for him. It was fun putting it together beforehand to leave out for "Santa" to bring. He is 6'4" and about 200 lbs and loves this chair. Definitely sturdy. He will use it in his bedroom for watching TV, but since it folds, he may take it with him on his annual fishing trip too!I can’t say they were comfortable because the screws are such cheap metal they stripped before could finish assembling them.It’s nice to have a portable chair like this for the lawn.love the chairs.. screws and bolts are made cheap.. the your time to assemble.
